Field Trip: Watkins Mill State Park!

Sherri and Tamara took a field trip to visit the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site! This is definitely worth a trip and the cost of the tour. The house and history of the area was interesting. But the tour inside the actual wool mill was awesome!!! The mill closed in 1898 and it feels like visiting a snapshot in time to step inside. Tamara took pictures while Sherri and our tour guide William spoke on the microphones. The Watkins Woolen Mill historic site is part of Watkins Mill State Park. Located about 10 minutes outside of Kearney, Missouri (or Excelsior Springs, Missouri depending on which direction you turn) this is one of Missouri's State Parks and the historic house plus mill tour was only $5. Tamara has a blog post sharing many of her photos about the field trip here
