Current and Finished Projects

Sherri:

• Knitting on St Catherines by Kate Davies out of M&K Linen. Sherri's St Catherines on Ravelry  

Tamara:

• Knitting on socks while recording! This pair is out of a Regia 4-ply in a great colorway named Snowflake with alternating stripes of burgundy-pink-burgunder and then teal-green-teal. Her normal sock knitting is on a US Size 1 (2.25 mm) needle and 56 stitches.   

Mulligans

Tamara:

• One of the knitted items she pulled out of storage and started wearing recently is the Rooibos cardigan/vest. This was a free Knitty pattern from the Winter 2009 issue. Tamara knit one in 2011 in a rust/brown. (It's written at a gauge of 3 spi. She reworked the pattern math to knit it in an Aran weight gauge of around 4 to 4.25 spi using Lamb's Pride Worsted.) She decided she needed another one in black. She started a project bag for it but couldn't find the yarn she knew she had....after diving deep in the yarn stash, she went to her knitted garment storage and dug deep there. Turns out she already knit herself a black one out of the exact yarn and then forgot it existed.....and she's lucky she didn't have enough yarn to knit 2 of them because she definitely would have. Since she didn't actually knit a second one, Tamara thinks this is really more of an "almost mulligan". Sherri disagrees. 

Swatch: Lindy Chain from Knit Picks 

In this Swatch, Sherri and Tamara talk about Lindy Chain from Knit Picks. Lindy Chain is a linen-blend (70% linen, 30% pima cotton) with chainette construction. It was one of the linen yarns Tamara tested for her blog post about knitting with linen.
