Projects: Current, Finished, Fantasy and Wearing
Sherri
- Knitting on her brother's Christmas socks.
- And she's been working on her April Cardigan almost monogamously.
Tamara
- Working on a bright, hot pink Hot Chocolate Hat.....she might be starting another Hot Chocolate Hat jag.
- Almost finished with that top-down worsted weight cloak design out of Knit Picks Simply Wool in the color Wodsworth.
- Finished the two sample Turquoise Trail Cowls out of the fingering weight Valley Yarns wool/silk blend and one of our a deep turquoise DK from Old Rusted Chair yarns.
- Cast on a new tee design for Spring 2022.
- Wearing!!! It's finally getting chilly out again. So she's been wearing all.the.wool! Especially while sitting in the stands for Marching Band on chilly evenings. The last game she wore wool socks, a wool sweater, a wool hat and wool mittens. She's especially loving her Sherri Pullover knit out of Valley Yarns Amherst and Cobblestone knit out of Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted (originally knit for DH but Tamara has inherited it and loves it).

Mulligans
Tamara:- This isn't a knitting mulligan. This is more of a life tactical error. She's mentioned before that her younger teen is pretty good on a unicycle. Good enough to juggle while riding the unicycle or to play the trumpet while riding the unicycle. So she's been following a Colorado Front Range unicyclist group on Instagram. A while back there was a video of a guy going down a crazy mountain trail on a unicycle. She was shocked. It looked like such a stupid idea. So she decided to show it to the younger teen to talk about how stupid and making better choices....instead he watched and said "looks like fun". And she thought - ack! This was a huge tactical error!!! Link to the video here so you can see what she means.

Some of the gifts she wrote about on the blog and talked about for this podcast are:
Knitting Needle Gauges from Sunrise GroveKnitting Bags from Zoe's Bag BoutiqueStitch markers and stitch marker sets
Plus some discussion of gift books, gift yarn, gift certificates/cards and supporting the LYS.

That's Entertainment (what we're watching, reading, eating and playing while we knit)
Sherri- Listened to the audiobook Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir narrated by Ray Porter. She liked it much more than The Martian also by Andy Weir.
- Meteor showers! She was able to see some of the Taurid meteor show. And she's hoping to also see the Leonid meteor shower (peaks Nov 16-17) and the Geminid meteor shower (peaks Dec 13-14). Link here to how to see the best meteor showers of the year.
Tamara
- Read The 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (or just 7 Deaths in the UK for some reason) by Stuart Turton. This one is like the movie Groundhog Day as a murder mystery.
- Made Potato Leek Soup. It was tasty and felt very French with just a handful of ingredients.
- Streamed the newly released Dune movie on HBOmax.
- Visited an actual yarn store! She found herself in Loose Park in KC. Then realized she was about a mile from the Yarn Social yarn shop.
