Sherri
- Knitting the Salt River Sweater by Tamara out of stash Classic Elite for the Yarn Social Springtime Tee Party. Sherri's Salt River Tee
- Her Sherri Pullover is stalled out because she needs to try it on.
Tamara
- Released the Ria Sweater! Top-down, written in 7 sizes.
- Knitting on submissions in response to an Interweave Knits call for the Spring 2022 issue. She can't go into much detail on the pieces, but the yarns she's using are both new to her. She tried out Valley Yarns Granville (90% Pima Cotton, 10% Merino Wool) and Cloudborn Pima Cotton (100% Pima cotton).
- Working on the Prairie Fire Shawl out of the fingering weight deep red from 316 Dye Studio. She loves how the cables and lace are coming together to evoke the swirls and whirls and wind-devils of the annual controlled burns on the prairies.
- Almost ready to start working on the Citrus Shawl again out of a bright orange fingering weight named Lusty Wench from Treasure Goddess Yarn.
- Started the Water Lilies Cowl and Agave Cowl test knits. That makes 4 current test knits going right now. She's having a hard time keeping her ducks in a row but doing her best.

Topic of the Show: Inspired by Art
Sherri and Tamara talk about art and knitting inspired by art. They talked about how colors and texture and feeling from art can inspire knitting. Ravelry lists almost 23,000 patterns using the search term "art" at the time of recording! Sherri also talked about her recent trip to The Nelson-Adkins Museum of Art where she saw the Water Lilies exhibit and found a print by Doris Seidler that she might use for her inspiration for the upcoming Inspired by Art MAL. Tamara also had a lot to say about Van Gogh and mentioned the immersive art experience called Van Gogh Alive.

Join us for the Inspired by Art MAL! The Inspired by Art MAL runs from March 30 (Van Gogh's birthday) through end of July (Frida Kahlo's birthday month). To participate, pick a piece of art that inspires you, pick a fiber project to go along with your art and join us in the thread. Each finished art inspired project posted in the Ravelry thread will be entered as one chance to win the final prize of a beautiful skein of Apothefaery Delightful DK (115 g, 275 yds, 100% fine superwash Merino wool) in the color Sheep Social. (This colorway is a limited edition made only for Yarn Social inspired by this Henry Spencer Moore bronze piece at The Nelson-Adkins Museum of Art.) Chatting in the thread will also enter you to win a pattern pdf of one of Tamara's art inspired patterns about halfway through the MAL and again near the end of the MAL. If you don't use Ravelry, you can tag us on Instagram using the tag #gpartinspiredMAL to be entered to win the prizes.
That's Entertainment (what we're watching, reading, eating and playing while we knit)
Sherri- Reading Decluttering at the Speed of Life by Dana White.
- Cooking and trying out the Maesri brand curry pastes from her local Pan-Asia Market. She's decided they are basically the Thai version of Hamburger Helper.
Tamara
- Watched A Fish Called Wanda as part of "cultural heritage for teens".
- Watching Derry Girls on Netflix.
- Pizza! The younger teen got a pizza peel for Christmas and he's turning into a pizza guru. He enjoys it and she enjoys having someone else in charge of dinner one night a week.
