Projects
Sherri:
- Knitting Avril in April pullover by Reiko Kuwamura with stash yarn. Sherri's Avril in April
- Finished Towards North Hat by Asita Krebs. Twice. Sherri's Towards North Hat 1, Sherri's Towards North Hat 2 (Sherri was inspired to knit this pattern from a post in the Hats thread.)
- Finished Kaarre by Nupu Nupu out of BFL stash yarn that feels exactly like West Yorkshire Spinners yarn. Sherri's Kaarre
- Started a new thread in the Geminate Podcast Ravelry group titled Wrap Up, Wind Up, WIP 2021. This is a thread to discuss WIPs and encourage each other to get them off the needles in 2021! Once a quarter, Sherri will process a random drawing for a Ravelry pattern download from a person's wish list. (Value up to $9.)

- Knitting on socks during the recording. The first pair of socks she's knit in years.
- Released the Parade Hat. This hat features bold cables! Written in 3 sizes - Child/Teen (Adult S/M, Adult L). This pattern was originally published in Interweave Knits Gifts 2019 magazine as the Avalanche Hat. The rights have released back to Tamara, so she reworked and republished the pattern.
Swatch: 20 Hats in 2020 Prize Winner!
Sherri and Tamara take a few minutes to record a short Swatch Episode. As we round into a new year and are still under lockdown, we'll be adding some of these shorter Swatches in between our longer normal episodes.
In this Swatch, Sherri and Tamara announce the winner of the 20 Hats in 2020 prize. Congratulations to Ravelry user wolfjoy whose post #100 won the prize drawing! wolfjoy won our prize of two skeins of Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted in the color Pressed Grapes (50 g, 123 yds each skein) and one Mini-Set of 3 Stitch Markers from Tallgrass Knitting. (Update: The prize package went out in the mail shortly after we recorded this episode!)

That's Entertainment (what we're watching, reading, eating and playing while we knit)
Sherri:- Made Cappuccino Caramels. The process of making caramel was fun, but she won't make this recipe again since it tasted too much like butter.
Tamara:- Watching Kim's Convenience on Netflix.
- Started a Gratitude Practice. She grabbed a small notebook out of the drawer and started to simply write down 3 things she is grateful for each day to quietly take back some joy this winter.
