Knit a very nice cowl. Put it away to work on the written pattern later. Pulled it back and realized that she didn't take good enough notes as she worked to actually write the pattern. Ripped the whole thing back out and started all the way back over. The good news is that the sample cowl yarn of Nuna by Mirasol Yarn held up amazingly well to being knit, washed, blocked, frogged and reknit.

Review: Knitting Needle Storage
Sherri and Tamara talk about using bait binders (sometimes called worm binders) for knitting needle storage. These binders are sold with fishing supplies for serious fisherman and work great for knitting needle storage and organization! Sherri uses a Plano Guide Series 3.0 Blade Bag and loves it. Tamara uses a Bass Pro Extreme Double Worm Binder (no link available at the time of writing the show notes.....we really hope this doesn't mean that they are discontinuing it) and it provides excellent protection from the Tiny Cat (officially named Blargnarf Destroyer of Worlds) plus is a great compact way to travel with all of her knitting needles.Podcast Announcements

Local Trivia
Operation See Local Things (because we aren't going on a road trip this year) #7
Monument Rocks National Monument (70 feet tall Niobrara Chalk formations in the middle of cattle grazing), Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park (brand new shiny state park that looks quite a bit like the painted desert) and the furthest northern and eastern Pueblo Ruins (I had no idea there were Pueblo ruins in Kansas) at Lake Scott State Park. This was our furthest out local 3 things to see so we clumped them all together into one trip and made a day out of it. 4 hours from home....calling it a Day Trip since we aren't going on a road trip this year.
